If you are like me, you sometimes get tired, and wonder if the things you are doing are worthwhile. Maybe you even contemplate giving up. Whether it is at your workplace, and you are striving to work hard and serve your fellow employees, to show them the love of Christ, and at times you grow weary. Maybe it is in your witness to a family member. You live Christ, witness to them, and minister to their physical needs. Yet, sometimes it seems that they will never trust in Jesus alone for their salvation, and occasionally you become frustrated and wonder if what you are doing is “worth it”. Possibly, you are busy doing good things: teaching Sunday school, going to Bible study, volunteering here and there…and you grow tired and think about quitting. I think every one of us have wondered if our efforts are doing any good for the kingdom. This verse is for those moments! We are not aware of how the Holy Spirit is using our words and deeds to move in the hearts of those we hope to reach. God’s planning and timing are perfect. He calls us to remain faithful, and He will do the rest! He is our strength, our rest, and our peace. Pray you are energized in your service to the Lord…trusting in His plan…today and always!
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. Galatians 6 : 9
