Recently, I was blowing bubbles with my kids. I usually make the bubbles and they run around frantically trying to pop them all. Their voices are high pitched and full of giggles, as they enjoy this activity very much. It brings them great joy! This reminds me, that like little children playing with bubbles, we are to bubble over with the joy of the Lord.
God calls us to be people who are encouraging, joyful, and content. This is to be done in a genuine and authentic way. Not just to please people. Nor to earn God’s approval, as that was done for us by Jesus blood. Rather, our encouragement and joy should flow out of our realization and gratitude for what Jesus has done for us. It should be our natural response when we are overwhelmed by His love and sacrifice on our behalf. Our contentment is not to be in things this world places value in, as they lead to envy and emptiness. Our contentment is in God Himself. He and His plan for our lives is enough. We are at peace with our circumstances because our faith and trust are completely in our Lord. Pray we will bubble over with encouragement, joy, and contentment……today and always!
So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. Always be joyful. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
