As I was cleaning up my son’s room while he was at school, I picked up a stuffed frog that had fallen behind his bed. I gave it a hug and said “so cute”. Then I thought to myself, that frog is really not cute. I just love frogs and find them precious because my son does. Because, I love my son very much, I love the things that he loves.
The same should be true of our Heavenly Father. Since we see His great love for us, we love Him in return. We love the things He loves. As we grow in our affections, we leave behind the past and put to death our sinful flesh, and grow more and more into His image. Loving what He loves and hating what he hates. Pray you reflect His glory as you adore what He adores…today and always!
“So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.”2 Corinthians 3:18
