When I visualize what it would be like to go before a person of great power, like the president or a monarch, I envision entering their presence meekly and humbly. Probably in fear and trembling. However, the Bible tells us we can come boldly into the presence of Our God, who wields far more power than any earthly leader. If I were to go before a leader on Earth, I would present them with a gift and would not expect to receive anything in return. Yet, when I approach the throne of God with empty hands He bestows upon me the invaluable gift of unending mercy and grace. He provides me with help in my helpless state. Though I am clearly unworthy, He treats me as if I am His child. That is the beauty of what Jesus secured for us on the cross. The reality of relationship with the God of the Universe. The blessing of coming before Him and receiving help whenever we need it, without limits or quotas. Pray you bask in this gorgeous present…and make use of this limitless access…today and always!
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. Hebrews 4:16
