The world defines peace as the absence of troubles or problems. Basically, it is avoiding unpleasant situations. The world’s peace is situational. The peace Christ gives is quite different. It provides for us the absence of fear and anxiety. The peace of Jesus seeks the highest good for our lives. It is rooted in our relationship with our Heavenly Father, made possible by our faith in what His Son did for us on the cross. It is permanent, and does not change with our situation. No pain, grief, suffering, disappointment, or evil can take away or lessen our peace in Christ. His presence is our ultimate destination! Pray you live in the peace of Jesus Christ…free of fear and anxiety…today and always!
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27
